they will do good,,, last season they were in the top scorers and robinho too,,but their defense sucks though,,this year we might see a better team,, with tevez robinho cruz and phillips at the front that would be a very fast attacking team,, they also got barry and he is one of the best med players,, who knows,,what i know a player doenst make a successful team but u cant ignore all the effort of the team manager and the owners..

man city are buying all the big names because they CAN. as a chelsea fan, i can't complain, even when they try and poach john terry, and have already poached robinho last summer. if some rich arab, or russian for that matter, walks into your club and dumps £100 million into the hands of the manager, which fool wouldn't go ahead and spend the money? any team would gladly accept it. it's a chance for man city to have a shot at glory - which is easier achieved by attracting the big names - so who can blame them for buying, buying, and buying?

yes, it will take time for the players to gel, but if they're worth their salt, they will. and man city, like it or not, will finally become a force to be reckoned with.

How do you come to the assumption Man city are full of players with big Ego`s? Robinho and Elano maybe. but Santa Cruz loved the confiidence Hughes gave him. Tevez is not a big ego kind of player he loves the fans and plays for the team. Barry just wants success. Given no big ego there. who are the big ego`s. You mention Drogba can you get any bigger an ego! what about other chelsea players Terry got Mourinho the sack. already not happy at not being number 1. lampard how much did he complain when Mourinho left. ballack and Cech along with Drogba got Scolari fired. Like I have been saying my friend, I think that with all their money their going loopy! I mean they don't seem to be being tactful with it, their like 'Ooooo a striker that's worth over 20 million! He'll be good let's grab him!'

I know a few teams who have spent money for players, like my team Manchester United BUT it was over time & with tactics not complete randomness, it was to fill in holes. City are doing this but in a completely wrong way, like Real Madrid, I think they forget they have defence to worry about.... City are building an ENTIRE team up in one sitting, the players will have to get use to each other very quickly, they will probably finish higher than last year BUT I can't see them being too much of a threat, kinda like Real Madrid, there are far too many egos in both these teams now.

I have also stated many times that the price tag of someone does not mean they will suit a team, even the lowest priced players have proven legendary. Take Ronaldo's 12 million transfer to United, no one knew him. Now he's worth 80 million, just goes to show that its the quality the player produces over quantity.
