I have done my research and looks like sportsbook.com is the best overall with pokerstars and fulltilt right behind. I have heard really good things about sportsbook poker, but I also noticed that they don't offer rakeback. My friend claims he makes about $300 a month just from rakeback playing .5 - 1 blinds at ultimatebet. How important/good is rakeback? Why is sportsbook rated top 3 on my review sites if they don't offer rakebacks? I will be depositing $750 and playing .5 - 1 blinds NL hold'em. Which site do you recommend and why?

I dont recommend sportsbook, how can you tell that is the best poker site1!@!@!
Sportsbook is site with problems, resulting in slow payouts(if any).
Fulltilt and pokerstars are the best poker sites, noone can beat them.
They offer security and great gameplay with millions of other poker players.

Sportsbook sucks all around. Unless you never plan on cashing out. Then go for it! But you can check reviews of US friendly sites at http://poker-lobby.com and http://dagus-statistics.com/reviews

If you are only investing in one site for now, I'd recommend Poker Stars or Full Tilt. They are the two largest sites for a reason, they have lots of games with lots of competition at all stakes. They only take a few days to pay out unlike sportsbook, who prefers to keep their customers' money even if they request a cashout.

I wouldn't rate sportsbook very highly. If you want rakeback i would recommend either:-

Full Tilt Poker
Ultimate Bet/Absolute Poker
Cake Poker

Those three are the largest sites that offer rakeback Full Tilt offer 27%, UB/AP 30% and Cake 33%. For the best rakeback deals as well as access to $1000s in exclusive freerolls and rake races try http://www.onlinerakeback.net

You are asking me why sportsbook rated top 3 on your review sites? How would I know... you did the review, not me.

The problem with ANY review site is that they recommend the poker rooms that give them the best deal, that is why it is generally not a good idea to base your decision on that. Try finding a few poker forums online, as that will give you a better picture of the available poker rooms.

If you want rakeback on the same network as bookmaker.com (the Yatahay network), you can select True Poker. However, it is a really small network which means there a fewer cash games and tournaments available. Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars have a large number of active players, which means that you can find a game you want any time of the day. But, in general, they don't give a lot back to the players.

Personally, I like the rooms on Cereus (UB and Absolute Poker) and the Cake Poker network better, as you can get a good rakeback deal and they still offer a lot more promotions that even small time players can benefit from.

Most of all you have to find a room where you feel comfortable, like the software and where you can get as much as possible back for the time you spend at the tables.

If you are interested in a rakeback deal for various poker rooms, you can find it at http://rakeback.casinolord.net . But you will not find any sort of ranking of the poker rooms there, it is better to form your own opinion.
