It depends on what sport you are wanting to bet, and even which game. There are too many variables to just make a sweeping statement on which style is best. You will find some helpful information at http://www.Sportsbook-Ratings.net

A helpful beginners guide to sports betting
http://www.Sportsbook-Ratings.net/sports-betting-for-newbies

I use a few different sites for different sports and different types of betting. There are independent reviews, written by me, at http://www.Sportsbook-Ratings.net I've been using these sites for 10 years, and I know which ones to use and what sites to avoid! All of these sites offer great sports betting offerings, exciting casino games, and exceptional poker play. The recommended sites all offer excellent customer service, security, and easy deposit and payout methods. In addition to the certified independent reviews, you will find free daily sports picks, betting tips, and much more.

Bookmaker
My favorite all-around sports betting site is http://www.Sportsbook-Ratings.net/BookMa… They are the first ever offshore sportsbook, and offer the earliest betting lines, which is important to me, free payouts, and they won't kick you out for having a winning season! Use the bonus code FREENFLCASH for their absolute best deposit bonus!

betED
If you want the site that is easiest to deposit into, then http://www.sportsbook-ratings.net/betED.… is what you are looking for. They have great service and offer eCheck deposits, and easy credit card deposits too! They will also pay you via electronic check for free. This link qualifies you for a huge bonus :)

Intertops
For variety in wagering offers...like stock markets, reality shows, and world sports, you may prefer http://www.Sportsbook-Ratings.net/Intert… Intertops was the first online sportsbook ever. They are good for recreational bettors, and offer free bankwire payouts once per month.

2betDSI
Diamond sportsbook, http://www.Sportsbook-Ratings.net/Diamon… , offers early betting lines, dimeline wagering for baseball, and professional action is welcome. Also, if you enjoy casino action as well, you will enjoy using the highest certified payout percentage of %97.9! DSI welcomes American clients and special bonuses when you use the bonus code NFLCASH09

Some popular sites with frequent and numerous complaints for stealing funds and extremely long waits (6 months) for payouts, and horrible customer service include....

SPORTSBOOK.COM
Sportsbetting.com
OddsMaker.com
LasPalmas.com
LooseLines.com
MySportsbook.com
betUS.com
Dimelinesports.com
SportsInteraction.com
Superbook.com
Superiorbook.com
Logans.com
Sportingbet.com
Sports.com
SBGglobal.com
BetEmpire.com
YouWager.com
And too many others to list :(

I would recommend you visit http://affiliate.intertops.com/processing/clickthrgh.asp?btag=a_1877b_168 and take a look around the site. They have been in the business for over 25 years and they were the first ever sports book online.
Right now they have a free NFL pool competition where you can place bets for free and walk away with up to $100 each week. Just click here http://affiliate.intertops.com/processing/clickthrgh.asp?btag=a_1877b_168 then click on sportsbook, then special offers and yo should see it there.
No matter what your looking to bet on, they have it. They also have quite a bit of information on their site that may help you decide what you would like to bet on. If you have any questions just ask their support, they are very friendly and helpful. I hope this helps you. :)

Hi,

There are lots of things you can bet on. As for the beginner, visit betting forums and look for hints there - some people are real experts.

I usually bet on soccer (who wins) and sometimes on other sport. Usually for me it is simple bets on who wins.

Start placing low bids and remember - this is sport and everything can happen!

You can easily do it online, I recommend you to visit GamblingSafe.net for reviews of sites that are safe and secure. Here is direct link to the USA friendly sites http://www.gamblingsafe.net/usa-friendly-sites/usa-friendly-bookmakers.html
I like Bookmaker the most.
