Anyone who gambles knows that unluckiness is going to happen. Whether it be your AA cracked by KK, your 20 cracked by blackjack, or a blown call by a ref that leads to your demise. It happens. My question to you is..what is unluckiest you ever got while betting on sports and how much did you lose. Mine are..

- A few years ago I had the Nuggets (+275) SU in Detroit. Nuggets had the game clearly in hand, up about 10 with 2 minutes left. The Pistons came back and trailed by 3 with under 1 second left. (Nuggets ball) They inbound, it is tipped and Rasheed Wallace recovers to hit a 70 footer as time expires. Pistons win in OT.

- I had Tennesse Volunteers (+300) SU vs Florida (NCAAF). Tennesse was up 10-0 late in the 3rd quarter when Chris Leak threw a pick to the house. The play was called back on a phantom (and i mean phantom) pass interference call. Florida eventually drove the field in the final 2 minutes to win 14-10..

- As we speak I had the Rays stright up in LAA. Gary Matthews jr. just hit a 3 run, 2 out homerun to put the Angels up 1..story of my life lol.....

What about you?

Someone might be able to remember the name of the teams after I describe the situation, because I know it was a play-off scenario in baseball. I think it had to do with the Red Sox, but I'm not positive.

I had my team -1 1/2. They were down by 1 run in the bottom of the 9th and had the bases loaded.

I knew the only real chance I had was that the guy hits a grand slam, but I thought, "no way this will happen".

Then, against all odds, SLAM------Home Run!!!

Only problem...Everyone was so excited, they stormed the field and jumped on the guy. He never actually made it to home base. The ruling was that the team won, but they only won by 1 run because the hitter never crossed the plate.

Un-friggin-believable!!! I lost......again. :\

When the Seahawks played the Steelers I put $100 on Seattle. Turns out the head referee is a big Steelers fan. Every single call was bizarrely favoring the Steelers. Seattle made an interception and ran it in for a touchdown. It was ruled that there was holding even though they couldn't find it anywhere on the cameras. Then the Steelers supposedly made an interception and ran it all the way in a record-breaking 95 yards for a touchdown. There was holding going on but they decided not to call it. These were just two cheating calls. That Superbowl was totally rigged. The Seahawks didn't lose, they were cheated. They outplayed the Steelers so bad that they should have won by quite a lot. Instead the Steelers (or more appropriately the Stealers) squeaked out a "victory" that was worse than tainted. So I'm not sure if that counts as bad luck. I lost $100 on that game though and they openly cheated. Not just a few important calls, mind you, but pretty much every single call.
Oh by the way when the cheating ref was making his first call he pulled out his penalty flag and threw it down only to realize it was his yellow and green Steelers bandana. So he picked it up and threw down the penalty flag. Naturally he was calling a penalty against the Seahawks. I wonder how much that ref had bet on the Steelers.
